Full Description: This is not a basic rifle course. This course will prepare the student to deploy a patrol rifle in a public venue such as a School, Sports Facility, Shopping Center, or Special Event. Topics will include moving and shooting, target identification and discrimination, distance and close quarter engagements. This course is limited to patrol rifles chambered in .223 and 5.56 calibers.

PREREQUISITES: It is required that the student receive 40 hours of training with the patrol rifle and be proficient with the weapon system prior to attending this course.

•Duty Handgun with three (3) magazines
•Duty Holster, Gun Belt, magazine pouches, and accessories
•Patrol Rifle with three (3) magazines (Rifle should be equipped with a sling)
•Cleaning equipment for Rifle
•Duty hand held flashlight
•Baseball style hat with brim/bill.
•Ballistic vest is required
